The summer session of Sand Hill School is designed to provide a new school experience for children who have completed grades 2-7 who have had a rocky school year due to struggles with reading, writing, spelling, and/or mathematics. At Sand Hill Summer kids with dyslexia, ADHD, language-based learning disability or specific learning disability experience success in a skill-building program that balances fun activities featuring students’ own interests and talents with evidence-based support in the areas of their academic challenges.
The day begins at 8:30 with a responsive Classroom Morning Meeting that integrate Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and Executive Functioning (EF) skills into community building activities. Our morning meetings foster a sense of community and belonging. After, students in small groups will rotate through three class-type activity periods, including:
