Does your child or teen struggle to manage their anxiety and depression? As parent, do you need support with your own mental health while supporting your child? Various stressors have increased anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and fears in children and adolescents. Parenting during these challenging times has truly tested families. Join other parents and caregivers to share concerns and strategies, and feel supported in parenting a child with mental health challenges.
This monthly group is facilitated by, Dr. George “Alex” Lazo , a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has centered his career around serving children, adolescents, families and caregivers. He brings his previous work in home and school-based settings addressing development, parenting, social support, advocacy, empowerment and mental health education. Dr. Lazo has provided effective outreach and interventions for concerns related to stress, caregiver-child conflict, LGBT-related and specific issues, and various challenges impacting mood/functioning.
Because of our generous donors, we are able to offer parent support groups at no cost. Your donation will help ensure that we can continue to offer free resources to parents, caregivers and professionals who serve children, teens, young adults and their families.
