We are pleased to introduce group facilitator, Dr. Olivia McDonald, a Psychological Associate, who has centered her career around serving children, adolescents, and caregivers. She possesses a wealth of experience in providing comprehensive care to individuals grappling with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-harm/suicidal tendencies, ADHD, developmental delays, learning differences, behavioral challenges, mood disorders, trauma, and adjustment difficulties. In her professional endeavors, Dr. McDonald prioritizes empowering caregivers by equipping them with tools to enhance their parent-child relationships. Her guidance aims to support caregivers as they navigate the complexities of fostering resilience and empowerment in their children, especially in high-pressure academic environments. Dr. McDonald has received extensive clinical training in several therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), as well as attachment and play therapy techniques. She has practiced within community mental health clinics, private practices, intensive outpatient programs, and within various schools spanning multiple school districts in the Bay Area.
Because of our generous donors, we are able to offer parent support groups at no cost. Your donation will help ensure that we can continue to offer free resources to parents, caregivers and professionals who serve children, teens, young adults and their families.
